I am here in the city that never sleeps and what more could I wish for than my memories captured in my posts filled with my great experiences. I know that there are a lot of people out there who might criticize blogger but I am just listening to my heart and expressing my interests in a blog.
For me, blogging isn't only about writing about fashion and lifestyle but it also means getting in touch with interesting people who have the same interests as you. The best example of this thus far happened 2 weeks ago. I received a wonderful email from one of my readers telling me how much I inspire strangers with my work. As of that email, we've been in touch almost every day. She randomly came across my blog because of her interest in fashion and realized some similarities between us. She, too used to live in New York, and this is not the only thing in common. Another example is a guy named Remy. Remy is only 19 but already has his own company called ADEENYC and its getting more and more successful and not at least because of his blog. All I can say, is that this guy is pretty talented and I wish him a great career, though. He was helping me to support my blog, as well. These are just two examples how I was connected to such wonderful people. Even if it seems as though blogging is simply virtual and lacking conversation, it's exactly the opposite. Without my blog I couldn’t meet so many amazing people and communicate with those them on a daily basis.
In my opinion, many doors can open for you through blogging. Of course it is hard work- spending hours on it daily but has been such a pleasure because it is creating a conversation, or many conversations with people all over the world.
I have also seen the importance of blogging and how it has been used in a business setting here at my internship at Wf360. I see how diligently Susan Bird, the CEO writes a daily post about business conversations because she knows the power a blog can hold. I am glad to have this opportunity to be a part of it and to continue my learning process about blogging.
As you can see, I’ve learned so much through blogging. The most important is how a simple website I started 6 months ago to share my love for fashion and traveling turned into conversations shared with people from all over the world.
