Collaborations for NYFW: ZDDZ London x geeksndfashion

Ph. Me

ZDDZ London

Intelligent and sharp!
Street attitudes are conveyed in hard, yet relaxed silhouettes, the rawness, heritage
and dark history of life in urban Russia is translated in incredibly strong graphic
prints that describe social commentary, whilst demonstrating an advance use of
colour and composition that accentuates the female figure.

I am extremely happy to introduce you to the next label, ZDDZ London which was found in 2011.
I am collaborating with it for NYFW. The pieces are super flattering and pure luxury on
one's skin since they are made of 100% silk.
Stay tuned to see my looks for NYFW.

Collaborations for NYFW: Vlieger & Vandam x geeksndfashion

Ph. Me

Vlieger & Vandam is an Amsterdam based accessories label, founded in 2004. The label focuses on bags and small leather goods for women and men. Besides presenting new collections every season, Vlieger & Vandam collaborates with fashion brands and artists to create unique pieces or limited editions. The Vlieger & Vandam studio is situated right in the center of Amsterdam. Every year Carolien Vlieger and Hein van Dam visit their studio in New York for a month to develop new collections.
I haven't work with any labels based in the Netherlands, yet. It's refreshing and exciting
for me at same time. I am thrilled to rock some bad ass pieces.
I am not going to tell you, what exactly it's going to be but all I am saying for now...
"Be prepared for some rock star chic with high end appeal"
Stay tuned to see my looks for NYFW.

Collaborations for NYFW: Au Courant x geeksndfashion

Starting from today, I will introduce all the designers I am collaborating with for NYFW.
Each and everyday will be filled with one designer. And by the day I am done, I will find myself on the plane to NEW YORK CITY. Only 5 days left...!

The very first time that I noticed the label Au Courant which was found by
Chaz A. Jordan in Chicago, was during the time I used to live in London.
I did continuously follow his path since that and I grew to become a fan of his creations.
Au Courant is a clean mix between high end and everyday wear ability.
Chaz A. Jordan explained me: " We take pride in using the finest imported materials from around the world to create new innovative pieces as well as giving our unique take on existing silhouettes."

It's not only the fact that I am going to wear some of his creations during NYFW,
it's also the release of his first woman line La Rosée, on which he was working with Coco Baudelle, what makes me super excited and happy.
Check out the video which was launched a couple of hours ago to get an idea what  La Rosée
will be about. I can't wait to see more. Stay tuned to see my looks for New York Fashion Week.

Guest Post: ANDRÉ SUPA

I am barely doing Guest Posts but when I am doing one, it's for a reason!

NEXT STOP: BIG APPLE FASHION WEEK
It hasn’t been that long since I found myself in Paris during their fashion week, and now it’s time for New York Fashion Week. I have absolutely no idea of what to expect, other than a lot! I’m going to spend two weeks with the blogger/fashionista and friend, Julia Lang / geeksndfashion, two weeks all about style and fashion and of course some NYC burgers on the way. Since this is my first time setting foot in the city that never sleeps, we could’ve been without sleep, that is not the case thou – luckily – the power of social networking has given us some unique opportunities regarding shelter. The first week we’re sleeping in a penthouse flat in Manhattan and the next week at one half of the designer duo, Ricky, from Dee & Ricky (famous for their lego pins worn by KanYe West, Takashi Murakami etc.). For a first time in this city, I’d say we’re definitely getting a big piece of the apple.
I’ll bring the camera a long all the way, of course, filming and shooting so you won’t get left behind, you, back in Denmark. My head and hands have been pretty occupied the last weeks, as a result of my upcoming and debut collection A.N.D BY ANDRÉ SUPA, and with a once in a lifetime trip to New York, I would be a fool for not bringing a part of the collection with me and present it during the fashion week, you never know who you might run into.

Being happy in your skin that's what it's all about.

Night vs. Daytime

Ph. Sara P., Edited by Clayborne Bujorian

Would you rather shoot pictures while the sun is about to go down or not at all?
That's a very interesting questions which I am asking myself over and over again.
There is nothing more important than having some great light to shoot your daily outfits.
I am a person, I could shoot around 20 different looks every single day. But since reality
is that I also have a full time job next to my blog which makes me coming home after 9pm.
This also means there is no daylight left, which makes it much more difficult for me.
I always try to take some great shoots every now and then but sometimes you need to deal
with what you got. It's like that with everything in life, isn't it.
So here we go, some pictures of my look today while Berlin's sun passed away a long time before.

Some great company for NYFW

Finding myself on the way to New York in exactly 12 days.
I've got a pocket full of dreams, baby I'm from New York...!
For this season of NYFW I am going to collaborate with designers who are beyond creative,
special and avantgarde. I won't tell you too much right now, since I want to surprise you.
But one of these collaborations will be with EVOL HEIST. An avantgardist jewellery brand
which is based and found in Birmingham, UK. I am super excited to work with such a talented
and ambitious team who are extremely hungry to make their dreams come true, such as I am.
For more visions and details about further collaboration stay tuned and make sure to join my
16 days journey whilst I am in Manhattan, New York City.

The word impossible is not in my dictionary.

Ph. Sara P.

It's almost unnatural how much energy sun shine can truly give one person.
I mean it's natural through and through. Therefore we need bare legs but hey hot pants and
mini skirts are appearing everywhere. Why not some totally ripped denims which are giving
your skin enough space to breath and to get tanned. Although the tan will come out quite
funny. Not a reason to stop a fashionista on her mission, right. xx

On the way to the Baseball Yard

via JAK & JIL , Oracle Fox

Baseball chic is one of the main looks I am after at the very moment.
It's so unconventional and still super chic. Big Time for Baseball Caps and Baseball Jackets /
Bomber Jackets combined with some high end pieces. Big Time!!

Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as you mind lets you. What you believe, you can achieve.

Ph. Sara P.

My love Sara is back in Berlin. She spend her last month in Miami which was incredible for her.
But I am glad she is back, in order to spend some quality time with me and to make me happy
with some beautiful photography.
We shoot this pictures last Sunday. The weather is at it's sweetest. Summer is definitely my
favorite season of the whole year. I guess such as everyones'. I only found time to post these
pictures today. Better late than never, right. xx

The fabulous visions of Clayborne Bujorian

1. " Yesterday's Pastime " by Clayborne Bujorian
2. " Outside Kanye West's 7-Screen Experience " by Clayborne Bujorian

I love the receive art work, especially when it's on point.
Creativity combined with an eye of a visionary. Can't get enough of such a combination.
He took a picture of me sitting on the famous Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
A huge Thank You goes out to Clayborne Bujorian, who did these images for me.

It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.

Ph. Sam S.

Well, in the end I didn't keep the dress. Almost 1K is still too much for a dress which
I will probably only wear once or twice. But I took the opportunity to shoot some pictures with
it in order to celebrate the beauty of it. The sun shine wrapped the dress perfectly and I enjoyed
wearing it to the fullest. But for my credit cards sake and for the fact that I am heading to
New York in 14 days, it was the best decision to leave it. Do you agree?!

Dress: Burberry Prorsum
Boots: Asos - inspired by Balenciaga
Beanie: H&M Men

The right thing and the easy thing are never the same.

Ph. Sam S. , Concept/Styling: Me

When I first saw this Donna Karan Dress from her SS12 collection it reminded me of the
typical Herve Leger dresses. You either love them or you hate them. I used to love them
but I feel that they became a bit too mainstream. A girl, wearing a pair of Louboutins
combined with a Herve Leger dress, something not really refreshing at all.

But I thought to give that DKNY dress a try and I was obsessed with the idea to rock it
with a neon beanie. A neon beanie which is a true statement piece for a casual look or a bad
hair day. It is transforming my quite elegant evening chic to a stylish all day look.
I always want to surprise people and to think out of the box. I hope you like it, too?!

Dress: Donna Karan SS12
Neon Beanie: American Apparel
Shoes: Nelly
Anklet: Asos
Bracelet: Vintage, Forever 21

Keep it or Leave it?

Photobucket Ph. Me / via Instagram

To keep or to leave, that's the tough question.
Speaking about a Burberry Prorsum dress, a dress which speaks a thousand words.
A dress which seems just to be made for me. I was born in Africa and everything about
tribal looks is fascinating me. One big plus to keep it.
Speaking about the price which is 2.795 Euro... My credit card literally panics while screaming LEAVE IT.
But since we are still in the sale period, this beauty is on 70% discount.
Keep it or leave it?! Tough question...?!
What is your advice?!
